Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The FAMU MBA program gives online students access to a broad array of innovative opportunities with special emphasis on team collaboration, including work abroad and graduate case competitions. Our extensive network of corporate employers also helps to further our students' exposure to areas ranging from accounting to supply chain management.

Master of Public Health (MPH)
FAMU features the first MPH degree offered online from an HBCU. We offer the only accredited public health program currently housed within a College of Pharmacy, providing a unique synergy that links the fields of public health and healthcare, and boast a strong training and research focus on health disparities that disproportionately impacts the poor and underserved. Public health practice will be the specialty area of the FAMU online MPH Program.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Choose FAMU's online MSN program and get the clinical expertise your degree requires wherever you live while you complete classroom credit hours online. Offering gerontology, this nationally accredited program emphasizes local clinical work that prepares you for workplace realities in nursing.

Due to restrictive state regulations, Florida A&M University (FAMU) is not permitted to provide online courses or instruction to students from some states. If you reside in a restricted state, you may not be permitted to enroll in or be admitted to a FAMU online program. School of Business and Industry
Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Requirements Before You Apply

Candidates are encouraged to apply a semester in advance of starting the program. Interested candidates should also meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree earned from an accredited college or university.
  • Completed a minimum of five years of post-baccalaureate work experience with at least two years at the managerial level.
  • Demonstrate academic potential: (a) cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in upper-division coursework completed for the baccalaureate degree (and submit a GRE or GMAT score) or (b) a score of at least 300 (150 verbal and 150 quantitative) on the GRE or (c) a score of at least 600 on the GMAT.

Beyond satisfying these requirements, international applicants whose first language is not English may be required to present a passing score on the TOEFL (500 paper-based, 213 computer-based, and 80 internet-based).

Prior to starting coursework, students will be required to achieve passing scores on SBI's adaptive assessments in spreadsheets, accounting, finance, and statistics. SBI’s adaptive assessments (with embedded tutorials) ensure that students have the prerequisite skills needed to succeed in the MBA curriculum

Institute of Public Health

Candidates for the MPH degree should have a minimum of 3 years of professional public health or healthcare work experience. Interested candidates should also meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Demonstrate academic potential: (a) minimum GPA of 3.0 (in the last 60 semester hours of study) and/or (b) minimum GRE score of 300 (150 verbal and 150 quantitative).  All applicants, who do not already have a terminal degree, must take the GRE to be considered for admission.

School of Nursing
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Earn more and get the credentials you need to diagnose, prescribe and treat patients with an online Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Florida A&M University (FAMU). The program prepares students to begin a new career path as a Nurse Practitioner and acquire AGPCNP credentials.  Plus, you’ll finish your degree faster with only 42 required credits as opposed to the 57 credits called for by other programs.

Curriculum and Accreditation
The FAMU School of Nursing is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the curriculum is influenced by the American Association of the College of Nursing, the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty, and the Institute of Medicine.

Candidates must hold a bachelor of science in nursing degree from an accredited college or university and demonstrate academic potential: (a) minimum GPA of 3.0 (in the last 60 semester hours of study) and/or (b) minimum GRE score of 300 (150 verbal and 150 quantitative).  Additionally, MSN candidates must meet a number of school-specific requirements, including a personal statement, Level II background check and drug screen. Post-Master's certificate program is available.
